Ascent Trip ReportThis is an easy hike to the rock and then a class 3+ ascent to the top of the rock. I did not use a rope, however there were parties using protection.
This rock is also the highest point of the Castle Rock State Park according to the topographical map. If you look at the Castle Rock State Park map, you can argue that Mount Bielawaski (Santa Cruz COHP) is the highest point. The problem are where each party draws the boundary. I visited both point and claim the highest point of this state park.
I am working on a list for the highest point of each state park in California.
