|Date:||Saturday, December 17, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||1020 ft / 310 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWanted to find a way to get the state park HP without a drive up since it is at an observation overlook. Logisitcs make this hard to start at the creek and work up.
I ended up doing an intermittant hike starting at the creek and seeing the falls and working upward but was forced to have a segment (where I will not count the gain) shuttled to the next segment as the cliffs and trails where not conveninet to starting at the bottom and working up in one non-stop hike as I had hoped. At least not possible when the sun was rapidly setting on me.
The Cedar Creek waterfall was running crazy wild because of the heavy rains that week and was a powerful display. I had a car pick me up at the overlook which was good as sun was setting.
