Ascent Trip Report

w Monica and the randomites (Amal, dan, Bob & Donna, Sarita, Stephen Ferguson, and Frank). Climbing the Flume Slide Trail promises a steep ascent to the Franconia Ridge and it didn't disappoint. Despite the snow and the ice everyone made the steep sections look pretty simple - and the kids coming up behind us appreciated our trail blazing routes. The sun tried to come out all day but was unsuccessful - which meant it was a bit chilly. Thanks to everyone for taking turns leading us along the route - the pace was perfect and we managed to beat summer book time, even though we had winter conditions.
