Ascent Trip ReportW48 FINISH! Wind was INSANE, aviation report showed precipitous dropoff from over 100mph winds at 2am to 30mph winds by 11am. AndrewB and I waited until 10:30a and headed up the Ammo to George. On the way up we pulled off for a huge group coming down, and one woman looked at me and said "You can make it, you are almost there!!" AB gave me good shit for that one and I chuckled to myself. The summit of George was crowded with plenty of folks still coming up from Lions Head. On the way to Jefferson we avoided the sheer ice and whacked down the snowfields, sometimes slipping on the loosely covered rocks. Jefferson was all to ourselves. On to Adams, we encountered a few hikers as well as a backpacking couple who set up tent next to Adams4, which was also about the location I lost a brand new microspike. Lowes Path was hellish, I haven't been back since. AWESOME day out.
