Ascent Trip ReportI climbed Rillito Benchmark and Peak 2483 after birding with my mom at El Rio Preserve. I started from the park at 3:43pm. I jogged up the path and climbed the north slope to a saddle, then continued up the ridge to the summit of Rillito Benchmark. From there, I descended down the ridge and the north slope back to the path. I jogged in a loop counterclockwise to Silverbell Road, where went cross-country around the west side of the ridge towards Peak 2483. I ascended to the north saddle then continued to the peak. I descended down the south slopes to Twin Peaks Road and jogged back to the park, arriving just after sunset. My round-trip time was about two hours. The route wasn't very fun, but it was good to build back some confidence in my healing ankle.
