Ascent Trip ReportThis was a quick pit stop on our way from Tucson to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. Before reaching the small town of Maish Vaya, we turned left off of Route 86, drove through the settlement of Narcho Santos, and up a dirt road to a wide flat area next to a windmill. The dirt road was in pretty good condition, but high clearance was useful. I fast hiked/slow jogged to the top, which is crowned by a fenced-in radio tower. There was a border patrol truck perched at the top looking southward, but they paid no attention to me. I jogged back down and we continued our drive towards Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument for one more stop before crossing the border.
