Ascent Trip Report

This is accessed via Weyerhauser land. The usual caveats on private forest land and distant gates apply to this summit. The further complication is that this particular summit has an FAA station on the top which is very much verboten to the average gringo. However, we really and truly did contact the FAA in order to get permission. I believe that the name of our contact person was Brian Wellman. He agreed to our visit so no problemo. We had to drive some snow covered roads and such but it was no hassle really and just a typical logging land peak. See other TRs for road directions but it is reasonably straight forward. There is a gate at about 3200 with clear signage indicating that the FAA area is forbidden. But with our permission we proceeded to walk the road. There is a large fenced facility but the highpoint it outside of that on the right side of the road. A benchmark can also be found thereabouts. Take no pics and get permission and this peak will not be an obstacle.
