Ascent Trip Report

This peak is not the high point on Admiralty Island! Just added Admiralty Island High Point as the highest point on Admiralty Island which is 4800' high. The key col for Eagle Peak is between 1700-1800'.

Climbed Eagle Peak from Young Bay in a day. Took the first couple of miles of trail up towards Young Lake and took a right into the brush. Bushwhacked up to treeline near 2000'. The route we took up involved some traversing around to the east side of the peak and scrambling over some fun exposed rock. Fun climb and awesome views of the many surrounding mountains! Around 16 hours roundtrip.
