Ascent Trip ReportStaying at Selva (Wolkenstein). Leading HF Holidays party. All walked from the house up to Grödner Joch. The weather was threatening but after lunch the weather cleared and the mist mostly rolled away so I set out with A+ party containing 8 guests to climb Große Tschierspitze. This is in the easiest category of Via Ferrata. There were two stretches of fixed ropes, but not at all difficult. A thunderstorm arose as we reached the summit and it hailed. The summit was reached and a fairly rapid descent made. The weather soon cleared up. We continued to Corvara for a coach back to Selva. |
