Ascent Trip Report

First day we started from Camping Attermenzen via Hängebrücke - Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge with short break at Europahütte.
Final destination of the day was Domhütte, where we had booked a night.
2nd day we started like first party at 02:20am and via Festijoch we got to Lenzjoch by dawn. From first rock/tower there is one abseil and then we followed loose rocky ridge sometimes slightly below, sometimes on the ridge until we reached Lenzspitze. The nicest part of whole route has been traverse from Lenzspitze to Nadelhorn. Approaching Nadelhorn it was getting better and better with quality of rock, with few sections of abseiling from iron rods which are placed on top of towers at ridge close to summit of Nadelhorn. At 11:00am we were at the top of Nadelhorn. After short photo break we reached Stecknadelhorn in 20-30 minutes, another 1 hour (+- few minutes) of easy scrambling on the south side of ridge got us to Hohberghorn (from Hohbärgjoch it is short, but steep ascent to summit). Around 15:00 o'clock we were at the top of Dirruhorn, last goal of this magnificent ascent/route which I had planned for long time. Descent was by northridge to Galenjoch, which was neverending story as we were quite exhausted in that time. We run out of water, but luckly we had good weather whole day. In about 3-3,5 hours we got to Galenjoch and from there we descended by boulders of west slopes (Steintälli) which turned later on grass terrain until Old Europaweg showed up. (Galenjoch-Europaweg path = 1h). By Europaweg we crossed small creek, as the bridge was down, and via Chüebodmen and Randa we returned to Camp Attermenzen at 22:00 o'clock.
