Ascent Trip ReportStarted September 5 at Mount Whitney Trail. Camped at Trail Camp at a little over 12,000 feet. Started a little after 4 am on the 99 switchbacks and reached the summit at around 8:30 am after taking numerous pictures. Summit was windy but view was great. Trail was easy to follow. A little of snow still on the mountain. Hiked back to camp, grabbed gear and hiked back to parking lot. |
