Ascent Trip ReportDrove out Trail Canyon Road and camped at trailhead. Started aroun 6 am and the trail is easy to follow the first 1-2 miles. Trail splits to two different routes up the scree fields. We went right. The trail is obvious for the first 1000 to 1500 feet of gain but then it is just all loose rocks so we went different ways up to avoid kicking rocks on one another. As you get higher the rocks are easier to negotiate but still a lot of loose rocks. Once we finally reached the ridge it was more scrambling but easier going. There was a box up top with a registry and flag. |
