Ascent Trip Report

No trail, as expected, however some areas where you could tell there was some pretty good climber traffic. Was charged at by a black bear, I may have stumbled by its den, it backed off pretty quick, though. Basin still covered in snow, punched through in areas but was very happy to have it on the ascent up to gain the ridge, that looks like it would be pretty miserable without it. Climbed up the rappel route, which is climbers left when approaching the summit block, I thought it may have been to the right and tried ascending a dumb overhang thing. The slab problem was manageable with rock shoes, first move on the rock is a tricky one, as from the base it feels like theres some good holds to the left, but better footing to the right, at least I felt. Good slings for rappels, didn't need to set my own in, and the second one is definitely in an awkward area but a fun one nonetheless.
