Ascent Trip ReportA true Mt Washington experience. Me and a friend ascended via Tuckerman's Ravine. When we got to Hermit Lake, we knew we would be in the clouds at the summit. At top section of the headwall, visibility dropped to about 50ft and wind really picked up. At summit, we saw wind was blowing 70mph, gusting to 85mph! Hiked back down into a beautiful, sunny, warm Pinkham Notch. |
