Ascent Trip ReportWeather kept us off the Presis today, so we looked for a sheltered hike where we could get good mileage and still bag some peaks we needed. Opted for Osceolas and Tecumseh from the Kanc, returning by Greeley Ponds. Didn't get in my groove and struggled up East Osceola, but made it up there at better than 2mph pace. Cloudy and misty as we crossed to Osceola and started raining on us at the peak and on the descent to Tripoli Rd. Ran into tons of hikers - apparently it's a very popular trail! Short road run down to the Mt. Tecumseh trailhead, stopped for quick lunch then steady climb up to summit. Didn't climb strong, but still managed to maintain 2mph on climb. Easy descent and used the cross country ski trails for short cut to livermore trailhead. Easy run/fast hike across the Greeley Ponds (pretty!) and back to the Kanc. Pleased with 20 miles in 8 hours and 5 min. Not too shabby!
