Ascent Trip Report

The drive in (highway 547 to FR 239 to FR 453) was in great condition and no challenge for a standard passenger car.

I originally wanted to take the trail from the south, but the weather was very uncertain so I thought this route would be safer (shorter, on more solid ground, and with better access roads). On the way up, we took the road to the second intersection with the trail, thereby making our route less steep, but increasing our distance.

The trail had some downed trees but was passable and easy to follow.
