Ascent Trip Report

This was the first time that I hiked with someone other than my dad. I hiked North Uncanoonuc with a friend of mine that I used to go to middle school with (but still talk to).

We took my usual route- the Class 6 Rd. to the Red Dot Trail. We made it to the Red Dot trailhead without taking a single break- something that I could never do before. We took a water break and then made the climb to the top.

The trail ascended a steep ridge. My friend was overwhelmed by the steepness of the trail, but I knew that it was that steep, considering I've hiked it before.

We eventually reached the summit. We took a break to eat, drink, take pictures/video, and take in the view.

We walked around the summit for a little while and found another viewpoint, which opened up views to southwestern NH.

We went a little down another trail on the mountain's north side to find more viewpoints. We found a couple and then went back up the trail to ge to the Red Dot Trail, which took us back to Mountain Rd, which we walked back to the parking lot where my truck was parked.
