Ascent Trip ReportI hiked to Saddleback Pass & Fairview Mountain on Aug 5th, 2011. Fairview Mountain is the highest peak (9002 ft) in Canadian Rockies which trail exists. We started to hike from Lake Louise. Until I reached to Saddleback, it's steady ascent. At Saddleback Pass, I ate sandwich and drank enough water. Then, I started to hike again to reach Fairview Mtn summit. This is really steep ascent with slides. I took a break many times during ascent, finally I reached to the highest peak in Canadian Rockies. The summit offers 360 degree beautiful view including Mt Temple. It was worth to spend energy to get there! |
