Ascent Trip Report

With Westy and Eric.

Snowmobile from 29pines to TH. I get towed water skier style on the way in.

Overall pretty smooth day. The biggest question of the day was if we would get corn on the upper mountain despite the high clouds and wind in the forecast. We ended up booting down 500’ or so from the false summit before skiing; started a bit firm but by the lower part of the couloir we found some soft and fun corn skiing.

The scrambling to the summit was a bit more engaging than I was expecting with some firm and steep snice; I was glad to have brought axe + whippet

Feels so awesome to get a Stuart summit in January and ski the cascadian couloir in stable conditions.
