Ascent Trip ReportI visited Escoheag Hill RI prom at 560ft.
The drive up Escoheag Hill Rd was a noticeable climb. I parked at the old firetower pullout across from the old cemetery (41.607742,-71.77351). It's a flat very large contour area thus the PB mark is in the middle of the large contour.
To cover the high ground I planned to first visit the old firetower which typically is the highest ground based on my experience. The top of the tower was gone and young kids were playing inside the open fence area. I was friendly and chatted with them. I made them nervous and they biked off in a quickly. My research showed a second high ground beyond the end of the driveway at the house. I walked to the house and the owner was in the very back splitting wood with machinery. I started to walk towards him but realized I had already walked to my mark at some rocks which probably are moved rocks, maybe. I turned around at this point not wanting to bother anyone and called it good. |
