Ascent Trip ReportThis was a simple drive-up. Tower Rd is a gravel road and as of 7/18/2011 is easily passable by any vehicle. At the far end of the loop on Tower Rd is the HP area. 20 yards east of the HP is one of the best overlooks (that I have been to) in the region. From the overlook one can look north up Path Valley, acorss the valley to Kittatinny Mountain and further east to Parnell Knob (Parnell Knob dominates the landscape driving west out of Chambersburg) at the southern end of Front Mountain. |
