Ascent Trip Report

This is me on the summit of Mt. Hood on my first ascent in April 1967. My dad had gone to the army surplus store and bought baggy wind breaker pants for both of us, and even though they are very unsightly, I was glad for them because I was cold! This was one of two "graduation" hikes from basic mountaineering course taught by Dad's older brother Glenn Bolton.
