Ascent Trip ReportFrom NW, Madera Canyon, $8 cash, Old Baldy trail, a few icy sections below Baldy Saddle, microspikes useful, snow above less icy. Highpoint is pointed outcrop next to ex structure/shelter. Trig/BM should be on L just before summit, none found. Cold and windy, but ascent mostly sheltered. 2h30 up, 4h50 round trip. Trail a little busy lower down.

This was last, highest and most prominent peak of my 3 week trip. Down in plenty of time to pack bag and drive to PHX airport for evening flight home to UK. |
