Ascent Trip ReportHike with my 8-year-old daughter, very special day. We got on the second shuttle bus of the morning (were in line but didn't get on the first--what a zoo) and took our time. She attracted a lot of attention from adults that were either tired or scared on the upper part of the trail!
This is was my third time up this hike, but my first time in 18 years. Things have changed! The trail is so busy, the chains require an enormous amount of patience. I understand they will be instituting a permit system and I think this is a good idea. |
