Ascent Trip Report

Urban highpointing at its finest. Free parking near the apartments to the south. This point was nice, just a stroll in the park. Thanks to Josef’s recent information, we were able to find the summit cross on the small hill near the stagnant pond. We also learned from my sister-in-law, a Hamburg native, that the highest ground (artificial) in Bremen is at a trash hill. So, we headed there second for a true “dumpster dive!” It is Metalhenge on the google maps, but we called it “Trashhenge.” You actually can’t go to the highest ground due to a fence, but the views of Bremen are quite nice on a partly sunny day like today. We were there with at least a dozen locals out for a stroll on a nice day. Bremen natural HP complete. Bremen artificial HP close but not quite. Becca and the boys were very excited to ascend a garbage mound in the name of German state highpointing! Pics
