Ascent Trip ReportReyes/Haddock report: Don't be fooled by the 6.3 miles of paved driving before the 0.6 miles of dirt road driving to the TH. The pavement is littered w/ potholes and washed out in many places, but my passenger car made it to the TH. Budget dirt road driving time. The hike itself to Reyes/Haddock is superb! Pine trees throughout, excellent scenery and views. The soft dirt trails are easily followed and virtually rockless -- not much to trip on so just enjoy the scenery. The cross country use trail off of Reyes towards Haddock isn't as well worn, but following the ridge meets up with the good fast trail to Haddock. Slept at the TH which has a pit toilet. Finished the hike at 10:15 am and headed home.
