Ascent Trip Reporthttp://rblr.co/0bCzo. Pretty much Straight forward following the Forest Road to the Summit if it would be not for the Snow. The Snow plow was running up and down the Main-road blocking access to the Parking Lots. Had to park further down at the Main Parking Lot in the Center of the Village which was not ideal to spend the Night beforehand as it was all lit up. It was snowing though the Night and the Snowplow was back again at 5:00 making this a short Night for me. Got an early start and followed the Road up till the official Trailhead and Parking at the Locked Gate. From there it was a nice Winter-hike along the Road. Unfortunately not much of a view and whiteout conditions as the wind also picked up. Nevertheless i still went up the Tower just for the sake of getting up. Returning the same way back. |
