Ascent Trip ReportFrom the Washington County HP on hwy 3 we found our way west on hwy 165 about 4.5 miles to Escoheag Hill Road on the right (left is Wooly Hill Road). We turned right and continued north 2.5 miles to a gated driveway on the left leading to the Tower. On the right is the signed "Rhode Island Historical Cemetery, Town of W Greenwich #5" of the Hazard Family dating back to 1850.
I wanted to check out the area beyond the Cemetery, so I went to inquire at driveway #40, just after the Cemetery, leading to the house behind the Cemetery, no one home.
I drove back to house #50 "Devine", next to the Cemetery, and asked for permission. The owner's mother, visiting from NC. came to the door, she was baby sitting her grandson. She didn't think her daughter would object if walked her back yard (chickens, pig, horse).
I stomped all around their property and bushwacked the woods behind the Cemetery, very difficult to pick a high point. I ended up choosing my spot behind their house at about 150 yards from the road, GPS 41.60955, 71.77333.
