Ascent Trip ReportI was planning on hiking a higher summit today but Mother Nature didn't approve of my agenda and due to inclement weather chose to stay out of the North country. I was indecisive about what exactly I wanted to do except I knew I couldn't stay cooped up at home. Finally the option of a short hike to bag a county high point sounded appealing. I parked at the Epsom Town Forest boundary on Tarlton Road and followed the road almost the entire walk. The road continues to the col between Neville and Nottingham mountains then turns left to the Neville Peak summit. I began a short and easy bushwhack through blueberry scrub and open woods to the high point and stood on the tallest rock.
As for wildlife I saw the flash of a white tail and a diversity of poop flavors along the ridge. On Descent I retured to the col and followed the 4x4 road to Neville Peak.
