Ascent of Frisco Peak on 2011-06-05
|Other People:||Solo Ascent|
|Date:||Sunday, June 5, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||9660 ft / 2944 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFor those that want less exercise, one can drive to the summit (high clearance vehicles) or to the 7400' (with a standard car). Note- if using a standard car, care must be taken to avoid existing tire ruts which can, in places, run deep enough to bottom some vehicles.
For those that hike the road, it's usually nicely sheltered from any winds by trees on both sides. Also, despite the decent condition, from my one experience, it is not too crowded (I didn't see another person or vehicle all day).
The views from the top are great in places, but obscured by trees in other places.
