Ascent Trip ReportHiked a loop route on the AT south from the Fork Ridge Trailhead to Mount Collins, Mount Love, Clingman's Dome and Mount Buckley. Wonderful weather (and for once) beautiful open views from C's Dome and Mount Buckley. This is a magical area.
All of these summits lie just off the Trail and are easily accessible from the AT.
My 20th and 21st ranked 6000 footers for Southern 6000 and South Beyond 6000 lists. Only a handful left outside the rest of the Smokies. Onward!
