Ascent Trip ReportThe plan was to hike some lower peaks along SR2, but the HWY was closed at Vincent Gap, so I had to change my planst. Decided to try for BP, but I didn't have my heavy boots and crampons. Solid snow cover was from 8000' up, but there were good boot tracks and I got up ok. Took me about 2 hours and I had lots of time to spare. Thought of Ross Mountain and since it was a cool day I went for it.
Nice hike to a rarely visited spot, but the return was a bit tough.Time car to car incl. breaks was 7hrs 40 mins., not too bad.
