Ascent Trip Report

After signing up on the website for a climb on Wednesday morning (€25), I changed to Friday due to the appalling weather. My start time was 12:00, but after arriving at 11:00 I was allowed to start immediately. It was amazingly clear considering my last 7 days in the islands, and the route is really easy to follow, with 47 marker posts. Many of the people climbing are clearly inexperienced climbers on a day trip, and I think all summited. For anyone with experience it's an easy enough high point to bag. Many people were climbing up as I descended to spend a night in the crater, about 80m lower than the summit, located on a mini sub-peak within the crater. It is a popular and controlled peak, and you are given a GPS tracker upon sign in.
