Ascent Trip ReportFollow the previous trip reports by Jon Mitchler and John Mann to get to the attractive St.Joseph's Church. My GPS coordinates placed the high point in a field about 200 feet sw of the church. Looking at the topo map makes that credible as it does show a contour area in the field that appears to be marginally higher than the base of the church. Although early crops did make it difficult to tell for sure, my visual impression was that the slight rise on the field to the southwest is a foot or two higher than the church yard. I walked the area around the church, intersection, and field watching my GPS elevation readings, but the GPS readings fluctuated and even in the best of circumstances it's not accurate enough to distinguish such small differences in elevation.
