Ascent of Mount Hope on 2021-08-31Date: | Tuesday, August 31, 2021 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Mount Hope | Location: | USA-Rhode Island | Elevation: | 221 ft / 67 m |
Ascent Trip ReportVisited Mount Hope highest point in Bristol county at 221 feet. Parked at end of Tower St road. Parked as not to block the private driveway entrance. The nearby research/museum was gated as well. Upon entering the woods the old road is overgrown but a noticeable path to follow with tree blow-downs along the way. Left the old road and start uphill. Suggest swing further right or south to avoid thick briers near the top. I found the area2 my high ground here: 41.67386,-71.24013. My gps track data appears to confirm my guess. No views but top is slightly open.
