Ascent Trip Report

We used the western end of the Nason Ridge trail to approach rather than starting at the Snowy Creek trail. This added about 1700' total gain because of the climb to the high point part way along the Nason Ridge trail (up in both directions). The whole hike was about 15 miles. The Nason Ridge trail is hard to follow in spots but the alignment is good on maps that show it (e.g. derived from OpenStreetMap data like Gaia or CalTopo). We needed to use GPS to relocate it a couple times when we temporarily lost it.
