Ascent Trip ReportI started at Arxhena Mountain Resort at 8:40 and went up the gravel road under the chairlift to the ski station. At 1700m I left the road and followed the path to Shutman lake. On 2150m began a vehicle path which I followed for a while. After that the trail was horribly marked I lost it completely. Instead I just walked up the grass slopes which was very exhausting. This went on until I reached the ridge on the Macedonian border. The rest was easy, I was on the summit at 12:40. Most important fact is that I didn't encounter any sheep dogs. When I attempted this peak 2019 from the Macedonian side sheep dogs and bad weather prevented the ascent. The way down was long but much easier to find. I was back at Arxhena at 16:00. |
