Ascent Trip Report

It seems that Luxembourg has a peak named after the vegetable that lines the ice at the grocery store fish counter and is also the primary diet of pretentious hipsters who enjoy being unique. Enough said, time to bag this vegetable that everybody pretends to like but doesn’t actually like! The paved road that comes up directly from the south is signed authorized vehicles only, likely due to the nearby mine. I instead came in on the road to the west, which was open to vehicles to around the 380m elevation. It is open to non-motorized traffic above that point. I followed the roads up until the fork that is close to the highest contour. At this point, I went right onto the trail, following it a short distance before striking into the forest. I actually picked up a very good game trail on the way in and a different game trail on the way out. These made for quick time through the open forest. The game path I followed on my return will take you right to the highest ground. Pics
