If you park at the signed southern trailhead along Deerpath Lane NE (parking for a half-dozen cars) and follow the Main Trail north (the roadlike one on the left, not the more traillike Peters Trail that leaves from the same place) and bear right at the junction with the Loop Trail, your GPS will tell you you are about 0.11 miles from the summit at its nearest approach. From here or any suitable spot nearby, head cross country to the top and stand at the base of several stumps and trees until you're convinced you've been to the top. Public parkland.
