Ascent of Stony Creek Mountain-North Summit on 2011-03-05
|Date:||Saturday, March 5, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Stony Creek Mountain-North Summit|
| Location:||USA-North Carolina|
| Elevation:||880 ft / 268 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFive years after this hill was logged, there's been no further development, and the brush was not as thick as I feared it might be. There are some rocky places along the ridge that look like potential HPs, but I believe the best candidate is near a surveyors stake near the tree line on the NE end of the ridge, furthest from the car.
Round trip hike about 0.8 miles.
My 62nd COHP and 30th in NC.
