Ascent Trip ReportThis trip report is essentially the same as mine for "Eagle Rock" as they are so close together. It is a quick hike on mowed paths from the parking lot. 1.1 miles (21 min) roundtrip. There are two points on this trail. One is "Eagle Rock" and one is "The Mound." I saw one other person during my hike. Nice views from the top. I stayed the night in the state park campground. I highly reccomend site 13 for tent camping. It has privacy and its own short path that takes you to an awesome lookout of the river. I watched the sunrise there and it was amazing. |
