Ascent Trip ReportGranite lakes start with miles of steep snow in excellent boot condition sped our ascent. If melted out, take the ridge over revolution and save time, we sidehilled around and it wasted time. Traversed around 4500 to the summit block. Rotten moat required climbing inside to wet 4th class up a sun warmed water fall on the left (west) of the summit. Some more snow and scrambling above the waterfall gully. Then a ridge scramble to the top. Did not fancy downclimbing the wet 4th and risking sliding into the moat. We steep snow down climbed the NE face and then a rising traverse to meet our route for the return. Took us 11 hours RT, which I think is unusually quick compared to without snow.
