Ascent Trip Report

Peak & Lake District Sojourn. Day 7.
Forest Peak Canal and Eccles Pike 370m.
Today was a longish amble that first went along the Forest Peak Canal through Whaley Bridge and Chinley and then up on trails to the scenic 370m high viewpoint of Eccles Pike. Not because it was on a list or had a trig point but because it was just a nice outing. A bit of home from home walking along a canal too. Lovely scenery and met some nice nice people. All in all a 14km 300m height gain day done in four hours due to some excessive chin wagging on the way.
