Ascent Trip Report

Parked along HWY 20, path down to Early Winters Creek. Took a while to find a good log to cross, it was early and there was some good ice cover on everything. Eventually found the climbers path that handrails a drainage to your right. Pretty good path, opens up eventually offering great views. Some initial trouble finding the col, but found it as I encountered a party of 2 from Seattle who were bailing. Dropping through the col onto the glacier took some time, there was a dying moat that was annoying to negotiate. Slow going across the glacier, saw a party of three ahead of me at the saddle between peaks. I caught them up the summit block as they were coming down to ski. Insane views from the summit, there were rap stations but with the snow cover they were unnecessary, simple down climb. Walked out the Silver Star Creek to the Sno Park, hitch hiked back to my car from there. This is a perfect spring/early summer climb while there's still good snow.
