Ascent Trip Report

Had some extra time while visiting Florida, and so I decided to go off the beaten path a little bit and visit a few county high points.

I started with the suburban Pinellas County, which has two areas to visit. The first is in front of a mall along Countryside Blvd. I drove in, parked, and walked along the front of the JC Penny store. Pretty exciting.

For the next one, I continued my drive north along Countryside, went just past the golf course, and turned into Westchester Drive to park. I walked into the golf course and followed a cart path (staying to the right of the pond) toward the highest spot that also reaches a lofty 105' elevation. Some of the small rises in the area are clearly part of the course design, but I walked along all the bumps anyway and called it good.

No one else was out on the golf course while I was there. This hike took maybe 15 minutes round trip, tops.
