Ascent Trip ReportParked in the small lot across Mountain Road from the White Dot trailhead. Drove past the small parking area at first, because I was looking on the wrong side of the road; it's on your left when you approach from the north. In fact, the trailhead is easy to overlook unless you know it's there. I did a brisk hike up the White Dot Trail in 12 or 13 minutes. The trail is consistently steep the whole way as it winds through the wooded hillside before coming out in an open area on the summit. Spent about 5 or 10 minutes at the summit, taking in the view of South Uncanoonuc, with its many communication towers, and a view of Manchester further to the east. Saw a couple who were probably in their forties at the summit. Retraced my steps down the White Dot Trail to my car, and then drove on so I could hike South Uncanoonuc before dark.
