Ascent Trip ReportPlease see below GPX Data and some Pictures of the Hike.
Bitter Springs Road is rough and needs some Clearance and a Skilled Driver to get to where I started. It was a Saturday Morning and a Group of Girls have been out there with at least 10 Vehicles all Jeep Wrangler and Rubicon’s. Got a little bit crowded on the Road. This Peak is also called White Basin Overlook. From my Parking Spot I followed a Drainage up to a Ridge and traversing to get more in line with the Peak. I guess there are more than one way up there depends on how much you are willing to Scramble. I kept it to mostly Class 2 with occasionally Class 3 Spots. The Rock is all sharp and loose at times. Caution is needed to make it through the Cliff band and up the Plateau, which is easy to travel. Once at the Base of the Mountain I followed some trails to the left and climbed out a Chimney on the right leading me directly to the Summit. Great view in all Directions. On my way down I followed easy terrain into a wash but got to a Big Dry Fall which I had to down climb. (Class 3 and some exposure). Might not follow my Lead here and look for better options. Once I got down there it was easy travel across Dessert terrain back to my Car.
Happy Hiking, Josef
