Ascent Trip Report

2nd of two hikes on this day. Drove down from Crawford Notch via Bear Notch Road to the Kanc. Just one other car in the lot when I arrived and one more pulling in as I began the hike. Trail was easy to follow and in good shape. No snow or ice. The water crossing wasn't too bad. I arrived at the summit and had it all to myself. Great views all around. One woman coming up the trail as I was descending. She asked me how much farther it was to the top because she had left her water in her car. I would have offered her some of mine, but Covid. When I returned to the lot I was surprised to see a dozen vehicles there. Everyone must have gone up to Hedgehog. I clearly picked the right mountain on this day.
