Ascent Trip Report

Hi Ski Rd TH up Red trail to junction with Silver trail. Took Silver trail to pond. Left Mitch and John at pond and took Yellow trail to summit solo. Amazing ledges. Each one better than the next. Summit was last in a line of beautiful views of Garnet Lake and the mountains surrounding it and the Wilcox Lake Wilderness in the background. To the south is Hadley and the other southeastern ADK mountains and foothills. This is the best view I’ve seen south of Gore. I returned to John and Mitch. Scouted out a primitive campsite above the trail on the approach to the trail junction to the summit. Started lightly raining as we departed Crane Mt Pond. Descended carefully. Stop
