Ascent Trip Report

Road to the Queen Mine is snow free and drive-able, but there are a few rough spots along the way where I was glad to have 4 wheel drive. The road beyond the mine is still snow covered. The trail itself was snow free until 12,000 feet where the ridge has accumulations of snow in patches, especially the last high ridge at 12,800. Snow was dry and soft, so I found no need for axe or crampons. Breezy at trail canyon saddle, but no wind on the upper mountain, beautiful clear sunny skies, wonderful conditions.
